Visionworks Marketing Group, an award-winning advertising and marketing agency, is pleased to announce the addition of Kevin Carlson to its staff as an account manager. Technically, we call him Mr. Write. Carlson joins Visionworks after more than a decade in various roles in journalism.
Upon graduating from the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism in 2003, Carlson spent four years in southern Florida covering sports for two newspapers as both a sportswriter and a sports editor. Aside from an award-winning writing career, Carlson has experience in design, photography and editing. In the years since leaving Florida’s heat for Missouri’s humidity, he has written freelance articles for the Columbia (Mo.) Business Times, Intertec Publishing out of Kansas City and Chicago-based Community Health magazine, as well as served as the online editor for Consumers Digest.
When not clacking away on a keyboard, Carlson enjoys getting out in mid-Missouri’s majestic state parks and chalking up as many new experiences with his son, Jacob, as possible. And all things Sriracha.
