Visionworks Marketing Group was honored to receive eight national or international awards during the 2013 year based on communication and graphic design work done for various clients.  These awards include two Silver Davey Awards, two MarCom awards, two Graphic Design USA awards and two Awards of Distinction from The Communicator International.

The 9th Annual Davey Awards recognized the best small firms out of a pool of 4,000 entries from across the globe that best embodied the story of David and Goliath; accomplishing large feats despite their smaller size. The 2013 Davey Awards statuettes take a striking modern interpretation of this story.

Visionworks was awarded one Silver Davey Award for their Manor Roofing & Restoration multimedia work. Manor Roofing is mid-Missouri’s leading roofing, siding and replacement window contractor.  Manor works to protect homes, possessions and families from harsh Missouri weather by offering quality products that provide superior long-term durability and performance value. The work for Manor Roofing & Restoration involved creating a multimedia campaign, including print, radio and television advertisements.

The other Silver Davey Award Visionworks received in 2013 was for work on Missouri Symphony Society’s 2012 Hot Summer Nights Festival campaign. The Hot Summer Nights Festival is central Missouri’s premier summer music festival, bringing classical, POPS, chamber and family-oriented concerts performed by the Missouri Symphony Orchestra to the beautiful Missouri Theatre. The Society is dedicated to enhancing and increasing the cultural awareness of classical music in the mid-Missouri area by presenting high-caliber performances by professional musicians and encouraging and educating young performing artists.

Visionworks also received a Platinum Marcom Award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals for work on the Missouri Symphony Society’s 2013 Hot Summer Nights Festival campaign. The international competition recognizes creative work that exceeds a high standard of excellence and recognizes agencies whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.  More than 6,500 entries were received in 2013.

An Honorable Mention MarCom Award was received for work on a feasibility study brochure for Central Methodist University. Central Methodist University is a four-year private university that offers educational opportunities ranging from high-school dual credit to graduate degrees and has a total enrollment of more than 5,200 students statewide. Its main campus is in Fayette, MO.

Visionworks was honored to receive two American Graphic Design awards from Graphic Design USA. One award was for Visionworks design of a book cover for Central Methodist University. The book is titled Provide and Protect.

Visionworks received a second award for a website designed for Fayette dentist, Jessica L. Quint. The JessicaLQuintDDS.com website includes information about the practice’s features including services information, oral health tips and staff biographies. Jessica L. Quint DDS is a full-service dental office, which offers a wide range of dental procedures. Dr. Quint helps patients maintain and improve healthy smiles through a range of services tailored to their individual needs and goals.

In August 2013, Visionworks was awarded two Communicator Awards by the International Academy of Visual Arts. The international competition recognizes innovative work which transcends the norm in marketing and communications by exceeding the industry standard and recognizes agencies whose work moves and inspires audiences.

Visionworks received a Silver Award for Distinction for work on the Columbia Public Schools 2012 (u)Matter poster campaign. The recognized pieces promoted the district’s social norming initiative with messages about standing up to bullying, being careful about what information gets posted online and not spreading hurtful information about classmates.

The other Communicator Award was also a Silver Award for Distinction and was given for work on the Missouri Symphony Society’s 2012 Hot Summer Nights Festival campaign. The awarded works advertised the “sizzlin’ sounds of summer,” through ticket brochures, posters and program books.
