Visionworks Marketing Group helps CPS revamp look; (u)Matter poster campaign won international award in 2013

Columbia, MO (March 22, 2016) – Columbia Public Schools and Visionworks Marketing Group received international recognition in 2013 for collaborative efforts on (u)Matter, which is a social-norming initiative for area schoolchildren. Now, a new-and-improved website (umatter.us) pushes that initiative forward, with new resource portals for parents and improved mobile responsiveness.

The website is updated several times weekly with new postings and information about topics that impact students in junior high and high school, such as alcohol use, depression and social media. The campaign seeks to clarify facts about such topics and let Columbia Public Schools’ students know that most kids their age don’t engage in risky behaviors. Parents and students are encouraged to take advantage of this valuable resource.

The (u)Matter poster campaign was created in 2012 and received a Silver Award for Distinction from The Communicator International; the campaign promoted messages about standing up to bullying and being careful about social-media postings.
