COLUMBIA, Mo.— Carol McEntyre, pastor of First Baptist Church of Columbia, has earned a Doctorate of Ministry in Worship, Preaching, and Spirituality from Drew University in New Jersey. McEntyre adds this to her Bachelor’s degrees in psychology and human services and Master’s degrees in Divinity and Social Work. Coming to Columbia in July of 2012, McEntyre began serving as the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Columbia. Prior to this, she served as a minister in Tennessee, Georgia and Texas. Since being ordained in 2002, McEntyre has received awards, such as the CBF’s Young Baptist Award and Carson-Newman College’s Outstanding Young Alumna Award.
